Friends of Hugh Myddelton held their annual Summer Fair on Saturday 5th July 2025 at Hugh Myddelton Primary School, and it was a huge success!

This fantastic event was a full community effort, packed with games, sweets, and a BBQ. Children and families enjoyed classic carnival games like Lucky Dip, Hook the Duck, Tombola, and Splat the Teacher, where the ever-brave Ms. Louis spent two whole hours in the stocks to raise smiles and funds!

A big hit this year was Pick the Monster’s Nose, a gooey game designed and built by one of the PTA’s very own artistic members. Other highlights included a bouncy castle, face painting, a rainbow hamper raffle (lovingly put together by each year group), and fabulous prizes — including a generous donation from Arsenal FC.

We were also delighted to welcome The Peel, Bright Futures, Finsbury Library, and Little Angel Theatre, who ran creative activities like puppet-making and crafts with the children.

Attendees could enjoy BBQ food, sweets, candyfloss, a Pimm’s stall, and a brilliant selection of pre-loved toys — all helping to raise funds and bring the school community together.

A special thanks to our sponsor Winkworth, Exmouth Market for their continued support, and Rapidity for printing our banners. The fair was not only a joyful way to celebrate the end of the summer term but also a brilliant fundraiser for the school.

If you enjoyed the day, believe in supporting local schools, or simply want to give back — we’d be incredibly grateful for your help.

Every donation, big or small, helps us fund school trips, creative workshops, sensory equipment, and joyful moments for the children.

Together, we can make a big difference for our community and local children.

Thank you to everyone who came, volunteered, donated, or cheered us on — we can’t wait to do it all again next year!
