In partnership with Absolutely, a same day courier service, Dulux Decorator Centre is introducing a new delivery bike service for its London-based customers. The service is designed to beat the London traffic and meet the needs of decorators and painting contractors who require product to be delivered to them quickly and efficiently, without having to leave a job. The bikes will ensure items are delivered within just 90minutes, setting a new benchmark for convenience in the industry. The bikes are being introduced at the Farringdon and Bermondsey stores.

The Absolutely e-cargo bikes also offer a cleaner, more sustainable alternative to traditional delivery vans, and are ideal for high-density, short-distance jobs, such as those found in the UK’s capital. ULEZ compliant, and with zero emissions, the e-cargo bikes ensure decorators and painting contractors can choose a more sustainable delivery option – helping them to meet their own sustainability goals, all while being able to complete jobs more efficiently.

Duncan Lochhead, Commercial Sustainability Manager at Dulux Decorator Centre, says:

“We understand that fast and reliable delivery is crucial for decorators and contractors across the country. In busy city centres like London, it is important to source solutions that can beat the traffic and ensure supplies arrive quickly and conveniently, whilst avoiding the need for decorators to down tools. We also know that our customers are becoming increasingly environmentally concious, with many seeking more sustainable solutions for their operations. That’s why we are delighted to announce our new e-cargo bikes. They are not only setting a new benchmark for convenience in the industry, but the environmental credentials of the e-cargo bikes will help our customers to reduce their carbon footprint too.”

Faye Calland, Sales and Marketing Director at Absolutely, said:

“Absolutely is thrilled to join forces with Dulux Decorator Centre to introduce a rapid electric cargo bike service to their London customers. Sustainability is at the core of the Absolutely operations, and we are proud to boast one of the largest electric cargo bike fleets in London. This collaboration reflects our shared commitment to deliver efficient, eco-friendly results while providing swift and reliable delivery solutions.”
