A 24 year old Clerkenwell resident with ambitions to open a cinema in Islington has an exciting new film season at The Garden Cinema, from 14th of September to 9th of October. Ennis Barnett who also goes by the name The Cinema Obsessive is passionate about celebrating all the local cinemas and community screenings across Islington. Committed to raising money for independent cinema projects across the area!
At The Garden Cinema between the 14th of September to the 9th of October, The Cinema Obsessive presents ‘Stolen Identities’ – a dark season of paranoid portraits, lustful endeavours and deceitful manipulation.
What makes someone take the bizarre decision to become another person?
Come along and find out…
Opening night is ‘The Talented Mr. Ripley’, the all time identity thief!
Next is ‘Single White Female’- a cult classic that will leave you shockingly dazzled.
Then, ‘Six Degrees of Separation’, a bizarre yet astute commentary on class and image. (Starring a young Will Smith.)
And to finish with a bang, Cronenberg’s ‘Dead Ringers.’ Darkly unsettling!
