This month’s event will be held at Broadworks

Join us for the July City of London Citizens Forum to held on the evening of Tuesday 16 July 2024 from 6.30-8.30pm at Broadworks and supported by The EC BID.

There will be an optional ‘Makers Workshop’ to attend from 5.30pm-6.30pm. More information about this will be sent if you sign up to this event.

Broadworks by Hive Curates has ten onsite affordable studios, a gallery and show space for artists and makers to promote their craft. It runs a dynamic programme of workshops, exhibitions and events; building on the City’s heritage of craft and enterprise.

The Corporation’s flagship programme Destination City aims to attract more visitors to the Square Mile – and also provide benefit to residents and workers. A review of the programme has been exploring the future development of a liveable, lively and connected City in a uniquely historic, cultural and characterful setting.

As a contribution to the next stage of Destination City residents are invited to a series of bimonthly events where they can learn more about the programme, and contribute their ideas. These get-togethers are being organised by councillor Brendan Barns, who is Resident Representative on the City Envoy Network.

Each event will take place at the sort of venue that might appeal to both visitors and residents – but which they might not know about. There will be an opportunity to hear from the venue and and a range of different stakeholders along with drinks and networking.

Officers and councillors will be on hand to share ideas. It should be fun, informative and a chance to meet new people.
