Archives Drop-in: Getting Around Islington, Thursday, Mar 26 from 3 pm to 6 pm

Join Islington Archives for our monthly drop-in on the last Thursday of each month to explore displays from our unique local history collections.

From bombed out Tube stations to a hidden underground canal tunnel; horse-drawn trams to campaigns for safe cycle routes, transport has shaped how generations of residents have travelled through our borough.

This event will take you on a trip through Islington’s fascinating transport history, seeing original maps, press cuttings and historical photographs from our archive collections.

Enjoy displays of unique archive material up close and at your own pace, with our archivists on hand to answer any questions.

There is no need to book a ticket – just drop-in between 3-6pm.
