There were lots of happy faces at the Town Hall on Wednesday as the Mayor of Islington, Councilor Anjna Khurana celebrated with twelve newly – qualified Clerkenwell & Islington tour guides.

The Mayor congratulated the guides on successfully completing the Clerkenwell & Islington Tour Guiding course and presented each guide with a certificate and official guiding badge to show that they are now part of Islington Guided Walks, the Mayor’s official tour guides for the borough.
The guides told the Mayor how much they are looking forward to getting out onto the streets to share the fascinating stories, people and events that have shaped and continue to shape Islington and said how the course had given them the confidence, knowledge and camaraderie to do this.
