Our inaugural street party yesterday was absolutely amazing! It was so great to see so many of our local community coming together for some summer fun. The music was excellent, thanks to our DJs Anthony and Josh ‘DJ Wavey’, and there was lots of dancing, including our regular line dancing group taking to the stage to show us how it’s done. The crowd were definitely encouraged to join in too.

We had an expert roving magician, a dancing competition, delicious homemade cakes, some really great raffle prizes, and an extremely popular face painter and lots, lots more…! We also had a visit from the deputy mayor of Islington, Councillor Jason Jackson.

It was a wonderful collaboration with Awesome for Islington Play Day, and there were lots of very happy faces!

These are just a few photos from the day. Keep an eye on The Peel’s social media next week for more photos and videos.

Well done to everyone involved!
